New York Location and Timing Gate
Outside New York City, Real Property Law § 232-b requires a tenant in a month-to-month tenancy or tenancy from month to month to notify the landlord at least one month before expiration of the term. The statute states that no notice is necessary to terminate a tenancy for a definite term outside New York City.
