Alabama Timing Gate

Under Ala. Code § 35-9A-441, either party may terminate a week-to-week tenancy by written notice at least 7 days before the stated termination date. A month-to-month tenancy requires written notice at least 30 days before the periodic rental date specified in the notice. For a fixed term, review the lease's nonrenewal provision and do not leave early without separate lawful authority or a written agreement.
