Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of your Terms of Service with Ezel AI, Inc. Any capitalized terms used but not defined in this Acceptable Use Policy have the meaning set forth in the Terms of Service.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to, and not to allow or direct third parties to use the Ezel platform to:

1. Legal and Rights Violations

  • Violate, or encourage the violation of, the legal rights of others (including privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or contractual rights)
  • Engage in, promote, or encourage illegal activity of any kind
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, invasive, infringing, defamatory, or fraudulent purpose

2. Misrepresentation of AI-Generated Content

  • Affirmatively represent or hold out AI-generated output as solely human-generated work product
  • Submit AI-generated output to courts, agencies, or other bodies without disclosure when required by applicable rules or law
  • Use AI-generated output without appropriate human review and verification

3. Security and System Interference

  • Intentionally distribute viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature
  • Interfere with the use of the Service, or the equipment used to provide the Service, by other users
  • Disable, interfere with, or circumvent any security, access control, or technical aspect of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, user accounts, or computer systems or networks
  • Use any automated system (including robots, spiders, or scrapers) to access the Service except as explicitly permitted

4. Reverse Engineering and Competitive Use

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service
  • Build similar or competitive products or services based on the Service
  • Copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on the Service or its features
  • Benchmark the Service against competing products without our prior written consent

5. Abuse and Excessive Use

  • Use the Service in violation of the Terms of Service or any usage limits or quotas
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without authorization
  • Share account credentials or allow unauthorized users to access your account
  • Use the Service to process an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure

6. Harmful or Inappropriate Content

  • Upload, transmit, or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Use the Service to generate content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups
  • Process content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights or violates confidentiality obligations
  • Use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate spam, phishing, or other deceptive practices

7. Prohibited Jurisdictions and Parties

  • Access or use the Service from within any U.S. embargoed countries or regions designated by the U.S. government
  • Use the Service if you are listed on any U.S. government restricted party lists (e.g., OFAC Specially Designated Nationals List)

8. Regulated or High-Risk Data

You must not use the Service to process the following types of regulated or high-risk data unless you have obtained explicit written authorization from Ezel and have implemented appropriate additional safeguards:

  • Protected Health Information (PHI): Protected health information as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and related regulations
  • Payment Card Data: Payment card information subject to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) requirements, including full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or magnetic stripe data
  • Classified or Export-Controlled Information: Classified information, defense-related data, or export-controlled information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Biometric Data: Biometric identifiers such as fingerprints, facial recognition data, retinal scans, or voiceprints used for identification purposes
  • Financial Account Data: Bank account numbers, routing numbers, investment account credentials, or other financial account access information (other than through authorized payment processors)
  • Government-Issued Identification Numbers: Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, national identification numbers, or similar government-issued identifiers
  • Non-Compliant Processing: Any data type that you are not legally permitted to process using a third-party cloud service under applicable laws, regulations, or contractual obligations

Note: If such information appears incidentally within documents you upload for legitimate legal work (e.g., reviewing contracts, litigation documents), you must ensure:

  • You have the legal authority to process such data
  • Your use complies with all applicable data protection and privacy laws
  • You have obtained any necessary consents or authorizations
  • You implement appropriate safeguards, including redacting sensitive identifiers where possible

Professional Responsibility

If you are a legal professional using Ezel:

  • You remain solely responsible for all work product and advice provided to clients
  • You must comply with all applicable professional conduct rules and ethical obligations
  • You must exercise independent professional judgment and not rely solely on AI-generated output
  • You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of all AI-generated content
  • You must maintain client confidentiality and comply with privilege requirements

Monitoring and Enforcement

Ezel AI, Inc. reserves the right to:

  • Investigate any suspected violation of this Acceptable Use Policy
  • Remove or disable access to any content that violates this policy
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities regarding illegal activities
  • Take any other action we deem appropriate to enforce this policy

Note: We do not actively monitor user content, but we may investigate if we receive reports of violations or detect unusual activity.
