What this is

"Is this case still good law?" is the question every citation turns on, and the classified answer has always been behind a subscription. This citator gives it away: a machine flags every citation to a case that sits near treatment language, each flagged passage is read and judged, and only confirmed treatments make the page, quoted from the citing opinion with a link to the full case.

The reading matters because proximity is not treatment. Courts quote "overruled" while rejecting a party's argument that a case was overruled; a case discusses old law it itself displaced. Only the passage separates those from real adverse treatment, so nothing is published here that a quote cannot back.

Every page also says how complete it is. Good law means every flagged citation was read and none weakens the case; a page still being screened says exactly how many citations remain unread. To ask the same question about a statute, use the Statute Annotations.
