Oregon-Specific: Non-Compete

Oregon restricts non-competes under ORS 653.295. Must be entered into upon initial employment or bona fide advancement, limited to 18 months maximum, and employee must earn above median income threshold. Employer must provide signed copy within 30 days. Garden leave required for enforcement.

Oregon-Specific: Invention Assignment

Per ORS 653.295, employers cannot require assignment of inventions created on employee's own time without use of employer resources, unless related to employer's business.
