Connecticut Landlord Notices Pack
CONNECTICUT LANDLORD NOTICES PACK
Comprehensive Notice Templates Under Connecticut Landlord-Tenant Law
Updated for 2024 Rent-Increase and 2023 Security-Deposit Changes
IMPORTANT: 2024 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Effective October 1, 2024, Connecticut requires 45 days' written notice for any rent increase (Conn. Gen. Stat. § 47a-4e, enacted by P.A. 24-143). This applies to rental agreements entered into, renewed, or extended on or after that date. For a lease with a term of one month or less, the notice must instead equal the length of a full lease term (e.g., 30 days for a month-to-month tenancy, 7 days for a week-to-week tenancy). A tenant's failure to respond to such notice does not constitute agreement to the proposed increase, and a landlord may not increase rent during the term of a rental agreement.

About This Template
Real estate documents transfer ownership, define who can use a property, and record agreements between buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. Deeds, purchase agreements, leases, and easements have to be drafted to meet state recording requirements, and mistakes show up at closing or years later in title disputes. Good real estate paperwork moves transactions forward quickly and avoids the kind of problems that only surface when it is time to sell or refinance.
Important Notice
This template is provided for informational purposes. It is not legal advice. We recommend having an attorney review any legal document before signing, especially for high-value or complex matters.
