CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE
If you fail to pay the full amount of rent owed or quit and deliver up possession of the premises within the notice period, the Landlord will commence a SUMMARY PROCESS (EVICTION) ACTION against you in the Connecticut Housing Court or Superior Court pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes §§ 47a-23 et seq.
Upon commencement of summary process proceedings, the Landlord will seek:
- A judgment for possession of the premises;
- A judgment for all unpaid rent and use and occupancy through the date of judgment;
- Court costs and reasonable attorney's fees as permitted by the lease agreement or law;
- Any other relief the court deems appropriate.
