CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE

  • Seeking a money judgment for all unpaid rent, late fees, court costs, and reasonable attorney's fees as permitted by the lease agreement and applicable law;
  • Any other remedies available at law or in equity.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICES

  1. Right to Cure: Under Ala. Code § 35-9A-421(b), if you pay the full amount due within the seven (7) day notice period, this notice shall be void and your tenancy shall continue.

  2. Recurring Defaults: Be advised that if you have been served with a similar notice for nonpayment of rent within the preceding six (6) months, the Landlord may proceed with an unconditional notice to quit without opportunity to cure pursuant to Ala. Code § 35-9A-421(b).
