XIV. TENNESSEE-SPECIFIC RULES AND PRACTICE NOTES

Who May Serve: Under Tenn. R. Civ. P. 4.02, process may be served by the sheriff, a deputy sheriff, a constable, or any other person not a party who is at least 18 years of age and is designated by the court or authorized by statute to serve process. Private process servers are permitted.
