Section 33-13-103 generally requires numbering and registration to operate a vessel on Colorado waters, subject to its listed exceptions. The owner of a vessel requiring numbering applies on CPW's approved form under § 33-13-104. Buyer will submit this signed bill and the other materials CPW requests.

Legal authority

  • Colo. Rev. Stat. § 33-13-102(1), (5) (motorboat and vessel definitions)
  • Colo. Rev. Stat. § 33-13-103(1) (numbering and registration before operation, subject to exceptions)
  • Colo. Rev. Stat. § 33-13-104(1)-(2) (owner registration application and card)

A contract is a written record of what two or more parties agreed to and what happens if someone does not follow through. Clear language, defined terms, and clean signature blocks keep disputes small and enforceable. The most common mistakes in contracts come from vague promises, missing details about timing or payment, and skipping standard protective clauses like governing law and dispute resolution.
