CONNECTICUT-SPECIFIC PROCEDURAL NOTES
- Connecticut does not have a single unified bid protest statute comparable to the federal FAR protest system. Protest procedures may vary by agency and by the specific procurement method used.
- For DAS-managed procurements, protests are typically addressed to the Commissioner of Administrative Services.
- The State Contracting Standards Board (C.G.S. § 4e-1 et seq.) provides oversight of state procurement and may review contested solicitations and awards under C.G.S. § 4e-36.
- Judicial review of procurement decisions may be available through an administrative appeal to Superior Court under the UAPA (C.G.S. § 4-183) or through a direct action for declaratory or injunctive relief.
- Verify all current protest procedures and deadlines with the specific contracting agency before filing.

About This Template
Administrative law covers how you interact with government agencies, from filing a comment on a proposed rule to appealing a denied license or benefit. Agency processes have their own forms, deadlines, and evidence standards that are different from what courts use. Getting the paperwork wrong usually means missing a deadline or losing the right to appeal, so precision in these documents matters as much as it does in a courtroom filing.
Important Notice
This template is provided for informational purposes. It is not legal advice. We recommend having an attorney review any legal document before signing, especially for high-value or complex matters.
