MISSOURI-SPECIFIC NOTES

• Appellate Courts: Court of Appeals (Eastern, Western, Southern Districts) handles most criminal appeals. Supreme Court has exclusive jurisdiction over death penalty and life without parole cases. Mo. Const. art. V, § 3.
