Thornburgh v. American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Is it still good law? What later courts have actually done to this case.

Margaret S. v. Edwards described Thornburgh's pre-abortion context without holding its rule unavailable in a new one. Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization later overruled Roe and Casey but mentioned Thornburgh only when recounting Casey's earlier overruling, so Dobbs supplies no separate direct treatment of Thornburgh. All 79 flagged citations have been read.
523 later cases cite Thornburgh v. American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; 79 of those citations sat close to treatment language and were flagged for reading, and all of them have been read. Citations that did not sit near treatment language were not flagged and were not read one by one, so a court that weakened this case without using any of that language would not appear here.

The Supreme Court overruled Thornburgh to the extent it found a constitutional violation in requiring truthful, nonmisleading information about an abortion procedure, its and childbirth's health risks, and the fetus's probable gestational age.
Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey · Supreme Court of the United States · filed
To the extent Akron I and Thornburgh find a constitutional violation when the government requires, as it does here, the giving of truthful, nonmisleading information about the nature of the procedure, the attendant health risks and those of childbirth, and the “probable gestational age” of the fetus, those eases go too far, are inconsistent with Roe’s acknowledgment of an important interest in potential life, and are overruled.
