9. OREGON-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
9.1 New Hire Wage Statement Notice (ORS § 652.610, as amended by SB 906)
CRITICAL: Effective January 1, 2026, Oregon employers must provide new hires at the time of hire a written explanation of:
- All types of pay rates the employee may be eligible for (hourly, salary, shift differentials, piece-rate, commissions)

9.2 Salary History Ban (ORS § 659A.357)
Oregon law prohibits employers from:
- Seeking the salary history of an applicant or employee
- Screening applicants based on current or past compensation
- Determining compensation based on salary history
9.3 Oregon Equal Pay Act (ORS § 659A.885)
The Company shall not pay employees of a protected class at a rate less than employees of a comparable character who are not members of that protected class, except where the differential is based on a bona fide factor such as seniority, merit, or a system measuring quality or quantity of production.
9.4 Paid Sick Leave (ORS § 653.256 et seq.)
You will accrue paid sick time at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year. Sick time may be used for:

9.5 Paid Leave Oregon (PLO)
Oregon's Paid Leave program provides up to 12 weeks of paid family, medical, and safe leave (plus 2 additional weeks for pregnancy-related conditions). The program is funded through employer and employee payroll contributions.
9.6 Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) (ORS § 659A.150 et seq.)
Employers with 25 or more employees must provide up to 12 weeks of protected leave for family, medical, pregnancy disability, and parental purposes.
