Dear *****:

This is to follow up our telephone conversation regarding the
current requirements for sales tax permits for fireworks stands.

All retailers of fireworks must hold sales tax permits. Regardless
of the number of stands you own or operate, you will only be required
to hold one permit. A copy of that permit must be displayed at each
location.

All wholesalers of fireworks must hold sales tax permits. Whole-
salers of fireworks who also sell retail must display a copy of
the permit issued for their wholesale operation at their retail
stand(s).

This opinion is based on the facts presented. If there are addi-
tional or different facts, the opinion may change.
