DIRECTIVE: UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE PROGRAM LETTER 05-83, Change 1

TO: ALL STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AGENCIES

FROM: BARBARA ANN FARMER, Acting Administrator for Regional Management

SUBJECT: UCX Narrative Reason for Separation From the Military Service

  1. Purpose. To provide SESAs with additional information on narrative reasons for separations shown
    on Air Force DD Forms 214 for determining UCX entitlement under 5 U.S.C., 8521, as amended by
    P.L. , 9732.

  2. References. UIPL No. 25-83

  3. Instruction. SESAs should include on Page 2 of attachment “E” to UIPL No. 25-83 the following
    narrative reason:

    Volunteered to serve with United States Air Force Reserves - ( USAFR )

Volunteered to serve with Air National Guard of the United States ( ANGUS )

  4. Action Required. The above instructions should be provided to appropriate staff members.

  5. Inquiries Direct Inquiries to the appropriate regional office.
