Revised Federal Schedule of Remuneration for UCX Benefit Eligibility

Summary ETA directed state agencies to use the attached 1992 military remuneration schedule for UCX first claims beginning with the first week after April 4, 1992. Earlier first claims remained under the prior schedule. UIPL 14-93 later rescinded this letter and supplied a new schedule for 1993 claims.

Subject: Revised Federal Schedule of Remuneration for Use in Determining Benefit Eligibility Under the Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) Program

  1. Purpose. To transmit the revised Federal Schedule of Remuneration (UCX) based on the January 1, 1992, military pay increase.

  2. Reference. Chapter XIV, ET Handbook No. 384, 20 CFR 614.32 and 5 U.S.C. 8521(a)(2).

  3. Instructions. State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs shall use the attached schedule to determine Federal military wages for UCX "first claims" filed beginning with the first day of the first week which begins after April 4, 1992, pursuant to 20 CFR 614.12(c).

    SESAs will continue to use the existing. schedule for UCX "first claims" filed before the effective date of the attached revised schedule. As provided by 20 CFR 614.12(d), the attached schedule shall be published as a notice in the Federal Register.

  4. Action Required. Administrators should provide the above instructions and the attached revised schedule to appropriate staff.

  5. Inquiries. Direct inquiries to the appropriate Regional Office.

  6. Attachment. Revised Federal Schedule of Remuneration (UCX).

For convenience, the Federal Schedule has been expanded to include columns reflecting derived weekly and daily rates.

This revised Federal Schedule of Renumeration is effective for UCX "first claims" filed beginning with the first day of the first week which begins after April 4, 1992, persuant to 20 CFR 614.12(c).
