About Judge Harper
Samuel Henderson Harper was a judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Appointed by President Andrew Jackson, Judge Harper received a commission on March 7, 1829. Judge Harper previously served on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, commissioned there on March 7, 1829. Judge Harper served until death on July 19, 1837.
