About Judge Johnson
Frank Minis Johnson, Jr. was a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Appointed by President Jimmy Carter, Judge Johnson was commissioned to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on June 21, 1979 and reassigned to this court on October 1, 1981. Judge Johnson previously served on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, commissioned there on February 1, 1956. Judge Johnson assumed senior status on October 30, 1991 and served until death on July 23, 1999.
