ECAB final decision. The Board dismissed the appeal because the transmitted record contained no final adverse OWCP decision within the review period. It did not reach any compensation claim. A party may petition the Board for reconsideration within 30 days of issuance unless this order specifies another period, under 20 C.F.R. § 501.7(a). FECA compensation decisions are generally not subject to court review under 5 U.S.C. § 8128(b).

Plain-English summary

A postal employee appealed a purported June 2024 OWCP decision. The Board may review a final adverse OWCP decision issued within 180 days before the appeal. The case record transmitted to the Board contained no such decision. The Board therefore dismissed the appeal for lack of jurisdiction without reviewing the underlying claim.
